FBCH Midweek

6:00 PM

January - April

August - November

Our Midweek gatherings are a familial, special time at First Baptist where we seek to reorient our hearts and minds in the middle of the busyness and difficulties each week brings. Read below for more information about our different Midweek gatherings:

For adults this fall semester (starting August 19), FBCH will have an alternating Wednesday PM schedule between two different gatherings described below:

Midweek Prayer

What is it?

A familial, relational time of singing, sharing, and prayer with the goal to deepen both our reliance on the Holy Spirit and the depth of the spiritual community in FBCH.

Who is it for?

Anyone wanting to spend intentional time in prayer and grow closer to their fellow church members.

Midweek Equip

What is it?

An interactive, topical teaching time led by Interim Pastor Preston Adams, focused on “Theology for Disciples: Essential Truths for Following Jesus.” No booklet or material necessary, other than your Bible.

Who is it for?

Anyone wanting to grow in their knowledge of God and faithfulness to Jesus and see how what we believe shapes how we live.

FAQ

1. Why two different types of gatherings?

Acts 2:42 says the early church, “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching…and to prayer.” These are two things we as FBCH must commit ourselves to as well. Midweek Equip is our attempt to devote ourselves to teaching and Midweek Prayer is intentional time to devote ourselves to prayer.

2. Can I go to both, or do I have to pick one or the other?

No, you are encouraged to come every Wednesday to attend both!

3. What is the schedule?

The first Midweek Prayer is Wednesday, August 19. The following Wednesday (August 26) will be Midweek Equip. The two will continue alternating through the rest of the fall semester.
